Leaf Sphere
A hollow sphere of maple shaped leaves with a balance of empty space and solid leaves. The sphere is set at eye height on a vertical plinth.
This large outdoor sculpture is composed of dozens of hand shaped metal leaves carefully welded together to maximise the open space whilst still forming a perfectly round globe.
The open space allows light to pass through it, creating a delicate, lattice-like pattern against the backdrop of the garden. The metal leaves cast dappled shadows onto the ground below, mirroring the look of sunlight filtering through real tree leaves. The sphere of leaves sits on a clean lined, vertical plinth that is a double square in proportion. These two shapes balance each other, the sphere with organic open leaves set against the geometric closed sharp lines of the plinth.

- Siting and fixing
- The Leaf Sphere makes a perfect centre piece for radiating beds or formal geometric garden layouts. It also serves as an elegant focal point when nestled into natural meadow planting or showcased across an open lawn. The sculpture comes with stakes, that are attached the base of the plinth to fix it approximately 30cm down into soft ground. We can accommodate bespoke requests for fixing and requests for installation into hard ground such as resin anchor fixing into concrete.
